Ignore your excitement and urge to spend some hard earned money on a new iMac and iPod and cast your mind back to September 7th of this year. Let me get a couple of things straight, it was a Wednesday and it hosted an Apple Special Event, now bring your mind forward to October 12 2005, you see the similarity, a Wednesday and a Special Event.
It appears that Apple's ways are changing, there was once a time when Apple released every new product on a Tuesday without fault and usually those Tuesdays hosted Keynotes, streamed live to the world.
It now seems that Apple likes to have Special Media events and likes to have them on Wednesdays, just to confuse us all.
"New G5 Powerbooks next Wednesday!!!!" Just doesn't have the same ring to it.
