AppleInsider notes that Apple has notified resellers that the current top of the line 60GB iPod has officially been put on Apple's 60 day "at risk" list.
As with past notifications of such a thing it does not necessarily mean that the product is being slated, it could mean a price change or a minor revision.
But naturally such news has caused ripples in the Apple world with rumours of the iPod video popping up again, with a possible Apple Event upcoming, speculation points towards a price shift to the current 60GB and Apple sliding in a 80GB true Video model.
