The Chinese Commercial times is reporting that Asustek Computer has attained a contract from Apple Computer for the upcoming Intel based iBooks. Initial estimates show that Asustek will ship 1.2 million units.
Au Optronics, Chi Mei Optoelectronics and LG Phillips have all received orders for 13.3" widescreen displays. Shipments will begin in April and Au Optronics is expected to ship between 40,000 - 50,000.
