The Inquirer is reporting that Organic LED displays could possibly be used on future iPods. This report is similar to that by Think Secret back in May of 2003 when they mentioned OLED displays coming to iPods.
The idea behind OLED displays is that battery consumption is significantly decreased, as a backlight is not required. OLED displays are known to have excellent contrast compared to LCD displays but they do perform poorly outside and usually have a limited life span.
