Apple Settles With Creative

Apple today announced that it has solved it's legal dispute with with Creative, both companies sued each other earlier this year claiming patent infringement, according to the companies Apple will pay Creative $100 million US dollars to settle all outstanding lawsuits.

"Creative is very fortunate to have been granted this early patent," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "This settlement resolves all of our differences with Creative, including the five lawsuits currently pending between the companies, and removes the uncertainty and distraction of prolonged litigation."

In addition the companies also announced that Creative will be joining Apple's "Made for iPod" program and will reportedly release iPod accessories later in the year.
