It appears that Apple is struggling to meet demand for its newest notebook, on Apple UK's online store all MacBook models state shipping lead times of 5 days.
"I ordered a MacBook over the weekend," one customer said, "The order was to be processed in 5-8 days. I just got an apology letter from Apple saying they would not be able to meet that order fulfilment deadline."
Reports also point towards shipping times of several weeks for MacBooks with build-to-order options.
Apple executives recently said that supply and demand would balance out in mid-September.
