Several readers have reported to us that they believe Apple is going to hold a Special Event on September 12th.
The date fits in perfectly with the beginning of Apple Expo in Paris which runs from the 12th to 16th.
It is currently unknown where the event is due to be held or whether the rumours are substantial.
[Update - August 31, 21.53 BST] Hardmac is reporting that Apple is not directly holding a Special Event but a press event that will be streamed from Cupertino to London.
It was confirmed earlier this month that there would be no Keynote at Paris this year, and today's news clarifies that and that Apple will not be holding any events at Apple Expo.
Members of the press have been invited to view the relay of Steve Jobs' Keynote from Cupertino in London at Apple's European Headquarters on September 12.
