As has been previously reported Apple is due to host a Special Event at Photokina today, the event which is due to start at 10.30 EST (15.30 BST).
The Event has been rumoured to be a launch ground for a heavily updated version of Aperture, dubbed Aperture 2.0.
Although no finer details are available Apple appears to have entered a head to head battle with Adobe who released a new Beta of Lightroom today at Photokina.
Also rumoured for release today are Core 2 MacBook Pro's, a source has recently told World of Apple that MacBook Pro's are due for an update to Core 2 processors and will top out at 2.33GHz, it is unknown whether this update will take place at today's event.
