MacExpo London kicks off tomorrow and World of Apple will be there to cover it. For those who don't know this show is not quite on the scale with Apple Expo Paris or the mammoth that is MacWorld but it ranks a the top of the UK Mac events.
MacExpo is more about the third party products although Apple is said to be making a marked improvement in attendance this year.
World of Apple will be in full attendance on Saturday 28 and as always we'll return with photographs and a write up.
Apple recently sent information about concerning the show and will be at Stand 410, with Mac Pro's and new iPods on display.
MacExpo is all about Photography, Music, Video and Design so Apple attempts to put on a great display of its own products.
On Thursday and Friday, production team Future Cut and mixing engineer Michael Pelaconi explain how they used Apple's Logic Pro 7 to create the hit "Smile" by Lily Allen from start to finish. See, first hand, the editing and mixing techniques used as well as how the team made extensive use out of Logic's software instruments to create this massive hit.
Tim Hart composer of British Academy of Composer and Songwriters award winning 'Shimmershine' and co-author of 'Crash course in songwriting' talks about the use of Apple software for composition. Featuring live recording, the session will demonstrate Apple loops, EXS and the correct use of plug-ins.
And on Saturday producer Brio Taliaferro explains how Logic was used to help produce Keisha White's latest single 'I Choose Life'. This demonstration will include an exclusive vocal performance recording session by Keisha White herself.
MacExpo 2006 takes place between 26-28 October at Kensington Olympia, tickets are £12 on the door.
For those who cannot attend the show you can naturally keep up with World of Apple's coverage, but you can also see previous years coverage.
