Exclusive: New Leopard Build in Images

As reported earlier this week, Apple has seeded a new build of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard to developers.

The images show some of the features which have been added to the build.

Image not in archive — Leapard now features a more functional Firewall preference tab

Under a new Security tab in the Preferences panel, the Firewall now has the ability to limit certain applications and services.

Image not in archive — The Firewall alerts you when an external machine tries to enter your machine

A pop-up also notifies you of external machines that are attempting to access your Mac.

Image not in archive — Dictionary searches can be performed in Spotlight

Spotlight now has better access to applications, featuring the ability to make calculations in Calculator and search for definitions in Dictionary.

Image not in archive — Apple is making good headway with converting UI to HiDPI (Resolution Independent)

In the new build Apple is allowing developers to access new UI elements, all the new UI is in HiDPI, which will allow the UI to increase in resolution without losing quality.

Image not in archive — File Recovery is now included with Disk Utility

Apple has included a new utility with Disk Utility, File Recovery allows the recovery of deleted files. The utility allows files to be searched for and then recovered.
