Apple Estimated to Sell 14-15m iPods this Quarter
Investment firm PiperJaffray has made a suggestion that Apple could sell between 14 and 15 million iPods in its December quarter.
The estimate which was made on data from October is said to be slightly inaccurate due to the lack of iPod shuffle shipping last quarter.
AMD Based Apple Notebook
A report by the DigiTimes claims that Apple is teaming with AMD to create a notebook based on AMD processors.
The DigiTimes which is particularly inaccurate claims that orders of high-capacitance multi-layer ceramic capacitors are en-route for an AMD-based notebook.
The publication writes, "For this new notebook, about 70 22µF MLCCs will be required, with Japan-based Murata Manufacturing, Taiyo Yuden and TDK being the three major suppliers."
DigiTimes backs its claims with a statement by AMD CEO Hector Ruiz back in September.

The Chine Times said Thursday that the rumoured Apple iPhone will merge a traditional phone with an iPod, and that the device has been released to manufacturing.
The device which is said to feature a 2MP camera is set to arrive late in the first quarter of 2007.
According to the report by the China Times, Foxconn will begin production at a run rate of 500-600k per month beginning in February.
