Apple to Introduce Retail Initiatives

AppleInsider is reporting that Apple will begin multiple retail initiatives to help address interest in Macs.

The first initiative is known as Rhonda, inspired by the Beach Boy's track "Help Me, Rhonda", the software will be installed on all Macs in Retail Stores.

The software will enable a portion of the screen to be clicked which will turn the screen a bright green, attracting the attention of a near by sales adviser.

Along with Rhonda, Apple plans to introduce "Two-minute Test Drives", which will offer a quick but comprehensive overview of software on the Mac.

Apple will also begin an initiative called Mac Talk, which is being described as an expansion of the current Pro Care service, customers will be able to swing by a Store and pick up a Mac Talk card which will enable them to have an hours session with a Mac specialist.

On top of Mac Talk Apple plans to introduce an 'expanded' Mac Talk service, customers will be able to schedule a one-on-one appointment with a Mac specialist before the Store is open, the specialist will act as a "personal shopper."
