Exclusive: New Features in Latest Leopard Build Revealed

With the latest build of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard in the hands of developers, some features are coming to light.

In the latest build of Leopard developers have noticed the appearance of a new tab in iChat. The tab called "Answering" allows users to record a greeting message, the caller can then leave a message much the same as they'd do on an answering machine.

Also featured in the latest build is further developments to parental controls.

The ability to set a time restraint on the use of the computer is now available, the administrator sets a timeframe that a particular user can use the computer for (i.e. set bedtime), as the time runs out the following message is displayed. If necessary the administrator can allow more time by entering the administrator password.

The administrator can also set a list of applications that a particular user cannot use, when opening a denied application the following message appears, the administrator again has the option to override the message.
