Derek Punsalan of 5thirtyone.com has posted a blog entry with a scan of a receipt. The image shows a receipt which reads "iPhone for DEREK PUNSALAN" and underneath is written "2 YR Agreement SAVING $150.00."
Punsalan writes on his blog, "Cingular, I didn’t order an iPhone, but are you hinting [with this glitch] at a $150 discount for 2 yr. service agreements already?"
"I have the same thing at the bottom of my receipt," wrote Punsalan. "I told the sales rep my intentions in the store so I just thought that she annotated on the receipt that I was interested in getting an iPhone when it comes out for CRM purposes or something."
