Several hours ago Apple took the online Apple Store offline to make preparations for the release of the iPhone.
The store has now returned with the iPhone and accessories available for purchase.
Estimated shipping dates are 2-4 weeks on both iPhone models.

Apple has posted a PDF version of the user manual that comes with the iPhone.
