Apple Adds Two Additional Exec Positions

Over the past week Apple has gone about extending the number of executives present in the company, Apple has increased the previous ten executives to twelve by adding an additional position for iPhone software and Mac hardware.

Scott Forstall, previously vice president of platform experience and iPhone software has been moved into the position of Senior Vice President of iPhone Software.

Joining Forstall at the top of Apple is Bob Mansfield who was named Senior Vice President of Mac Hardware Engineering. Mansfield will report direct to Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook.

Both Mansfield and Forstall were awarded a grant for 25,000 restricted Apple shares as part of their promotions. The package was worth more than $4.17 million as of May 30th, the day the two signed regulatory filings. The stock is scheduled to vest fully on March 24, 2010.
