Rumours of DRM-free iTunes Over Hyped?

CNet is picking fault with rumours that the iTunes Store will go 100% DRM-free today, or possibly next Tuesday.

CNet is noting that negotiations with major record labels are ongoing and as far as it was concerned none of the negotiations were complete on Monday afternoon. According to one of CNet's sources if there is anything to announce, it won't be until the years end.

DRM-free music from the iTunes Store, otherwise known as iTunes Plus was announced from EMI in May 2007. Since then no other major record label has jumped on the DRM-free bandwagon.
