Wal-Mart Begins Advertising iPhone 3G

AppleInsider is reporting that a few Wal-Mart stores have "jumped the gun and are starting to advertise availability of Apple's iPhone 3G ahead of an official roll-out planned for later this month."

The site notes that over the last few days window decals and cardboard display jackets have begin appearing in some Wal-Mart stores the advertising text reads: "iPhone 3G. Now available at Wal-Mart."

The report goes onto say that the iPhone will go on sale at 9.00am on Sunday, December 28th, with 8GB and 16GB models selling for $197 and $297 respectively with a two-year AT&T contract.
