Apple wrote to customers Wednesday reporting that ordered 17-inch MacBook Pros will see further delays with orders not shipping for at least another two weeks.
"Wrapping up the new 17-inch MacBook Pro is taking a few days longer than we projected," wrote Apple in an email to customers who have bought a new 17-inch MacBook Pro."As a result, we will be unable to ship your 17-inch MacBook Pro until February 19, 2009."
Apple has offered no reason for the delay but anyone wishing to cancel their order can do so by calling 800-676-2775 or by visiting its online order status website.
"If we do not hear from you before we ship the 17-inch MacBook Pro to you, we will assume that you have agreed to this shipment delay," Apple wrote in the email sent out today. "In that event, a shipment notification with tracking information will be emailed to you as soon as your order is shipped."
