AppleInsider reports that Apple in Australia is expected to introduce a new AirPort Express that bundles with a local wireless data service.
The rumour site points towards a default placeholder page on Apple's Australian online store with an item listed as "Unwired Airport Express Bundle" for the price of $168 and estimated to be shipping in 2-3 weeks.
AppleInsider suggests that the device could be a plan by Apple to resell service from an over-the-air Internet provider known as Unwired. Unwired is currently building a country wide wireless network offering speeds between 256K to 1Mbps without the need for a phone or data line. Service plans for Unwired start at $20 and top out at around $100 depending on bandwidth and speed allowances.
