Google CEO and member of Apple's board of director Eric Schmidt has told reporters that he will not resign from his position at Apple despite a government investigation.
The investigation being done by the Federal Trade Commission into possible breach of antirust laws was announced earlier this week.
Google and Apple currently have competing phone operating systems as well as web browsers but Schmidt told reporters: "If there are issues on competitiveness, I recuse myself." When asked if he had considered resigning due to the investigation Schmidt replied "it hasn't crossed my mind."
