Amazon.com has posted pages for Mac OS X Snow Leopard allowing customers to pre-order copies. Mac OS X Snow Leopard is available for users currently running Mac OS X Leopard for just $29. Amazon doesn't offer a firm shipping date but Apple has pinned September as the Snow Leopard release month.
Amazon has also placed an "Upgrade Path Alert" on the product pages notifying customers that only those running Mac OS X Leopard will be able to purchase Snow Leopard at $29.
Please note, that only Apple OS X Leopard users are eligible for the Snow Leopard upgrade. Tiger & earlier OS users will need to purchase either versions of the upgraded Mac Box Set. Also, Snow Leopard will only run on intel-based Mac computers.
