China Unicom the official carrier of the iPhone in China today announced that it would begin selling the iPhone in the country on October 1.
The carrier has also released pricing information for the iPhone, handsets of an unknown size will be sold for Rmb5,000 ($732.50) and eight tariffs available ranging from Rmb126 to Rmb886.
According to Sina subscribers who opt for the top tariff and prepay Rmb7,999 in credit will receive a 32GB iPhone 3GS for free.
FT.com also confirms that none of the models come with WiFi capabilities but does not explain whether they will include WAPI.
