Gizmodo is reporting today that a number of tips and bits of information that have trickled in over the last few months suggest that Apple may be planning to move traditional print media onto the rumoured tablet platform. Gizmodo cites sources which say that Apple has been in talks with multiple publishers of magazines and textbooks as well as the The New York Times about moving their content into a digital form.
The source from The New York Times said that Apple approached the paper in June of this year to discuss translating content for a "new device" additionally sources relating to publishers McGraw Hill and Oberlin Press say that the companies are bringing their content onto iTunes.
Finally Apple is said to have met with magazine executives to demonstrate digital versions of their magazines with interactive content.
