
Tony Fadell the man claimed to have brought the idea of the iPod to Apple in 2001 is leaving Apple to help "the environment by working with consumer green-tech companies".
17 months ago Apple announced that Fadell would be leaving his position as the chief of the iPod division to spend more time with his family but would remain in an advisory position.
Speaking of his departure to the New York Times Fadell said, “My primary focus will be helping the environment by working with consumer green-tech companies,”. Adding, “I’m determined to tell my kids and grandkids amazing stories beyond my iPod and iPhone ones.”
