The iPad will go on sale on the east coast of the U.S in under three hours and the excitement has begun with photos of waiting lines being posted across the internet.
Apple has also updated its website declaring "iPad is here" and posted a collection of day one release app including the Wall Street Journal, Marvel Comics, SCRABBLE and Epicurious to name a few.
Apple has also posted a selection of websites that are iPad compatible with the majority offering HTML5 video players in place of Flash players.
Gizmodo has posted an extensive collection of essential iPad apps and Engadget's Joshua Topolsky was on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show to demonstrate the iPad last night.
