Apple has today sent out invites to select members of the media announcing that the company will host a special event at 10AM Pacific time on Wednesday, 20th October at its headquarters in Cupertino.
The invite which is labelled simply "Back to the Mac" features an Apple logo turning with an image of a Lion in the background.
Although rumours of the existence of Mac OS X 10.7 have been few and far between it appears that Apple could be ready to preview the next major release of Mac OS X, likely to be dubbed 'Lion'.
