Earlier this week it was rumoured that Apple was aiming to launch the Mac App Store on December 13th. Now The Loop reports that Apple will launch the store in the New Year.
Veteran Apple reporter Jim Dalrymple who writes for The Loop has proven in the past to have considerably solid sources at Apple. In his report he writes that Apple will meet the 90-day deadline that the company imposed on itself when it announced the Mac App Store in October.
Dalrymple adds that to meet Apple's self imposed 90 day deadline we could expect to see the Mac App Store launch during the third week of January 2011.
