Following today's announcement that MobileMe will be folded and its services moved to Apple's new iCloud service the company has now detailed how this switchover will occur.
In a support note and email to MobileMe customers Apple says that existing accounts have "been automatically extended through June 30, 2012, at no additional charge."
When signing up to iCloud existing MobileMe customers will be "able to keep your me.com or mac.com email address and move your MobileMe mail, contacts, calendars, and bookmarks to the new service."
Apple will provide more information when iCloud is available this fall.
