Rumour sites are expecting Apple Computer to refresh the retail copies of Mac OS X Tiger with version 10.4.2 this month. The 10.4.2 release is due 'imminently' and is reported to deliver over 80 fixes and enhancements.
Among the many fixes expected in the release are Finder updates to finding by kind and using the new Slideshow feature, updated graphics drivers (both ATI and nVidia) and improved logins. Other areas of improvement are improved user experiences with Airport wireless access, iDisk synchronisation, installations, and file sharing services and enhancements to the following, Address Book, Automator, Core Graphics, Core Audio, Core Image, iCal, iChat, Mail, Safari and stickies.
Current build is 8C29, the release is expected to be finalised at 8C3x.
