Apple will be heading to a Californian court to face an appeal on behalf of bloggers and online journalists who claim that themselves and their sources should be protected.
The EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) and Apple are scheduled for a hearing on April 20 which is set to decide whether a mistake was made by a lower court when refusing to protect O'Grady's PowerPage.
Blogger, Derek Slater, wrote on Thursday that the lower court's decision threatens all journalists and bloggers alike.
"EFF petitioned to correct the trial court's manifest error and restore the previously well-settled constitutional protections for a journalist's confidential information, upon which the practice of journalism and the freedom of press depend," he wrote.
