Apple today re-launched its Back-to-School program offering a free iPod nano to students who purchase a Mac before mid September.
The qualifying computers are; MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac and the Power Mac, or alternatively an iPod, purchasing one of the listed will enable the student to receive a $179 rebate on top of the standard education discount.
Apple encourages students to purchase a 2GB iPod nano with their Mac because the rebate will cancel out the cost of the iPod but the rebate could also be applied to other products on the Apple Store.
The program is only available through participating Apple Authorized Campus Resellers from June 5, 2006, through September 16, 2006. The promo also applies to remaining stock of Apple's 14-inch PowerPC iBooks and 12-inch PowerPC PowerBooks.
