Apple confirmed today that Vice President of Marketing Yoshiaki Sakito has stepped down from his position in Japan.
The Associated Press claims that Sakito came to an agreement with Apple although further details are unclear.
In a contrasting report Nihon Keizai Shimbun says that Sakito plans to create his own start-up venture.
While Apple searches for a successor, Phil Schiller will oversee the role of Sakito.
