Following today's announcement that Apple will hold a special event on March 17 to give a preview of the next major release of the iPhone OS, Boy Genius Report has posted some brief details.
The short report states that the iPhone OS 3.0 software will pack at least two new including MMS and tethering via Bluetooth and USB.
In the past AT&T has hinted that tethering would eventually make its way to the iPhone.
