The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple's current board members are planning to meet next Tuesday to discuss the boards replacement of Google CEO Eric Schmidt who stepped down from the position late last month.
Schmidt who joined Apple's board in 2006 stepped down due to conflicts between Google and Apple.
WSJ writes that one person close to Apple said that Apple COO Tim Cook may be given a position on the board but it is unclear whether the director will be considered on Tuesday.
