Following reports that China Unicom purchased five million iPhone units for sale in China, the company has now denied the reports.
"Talks between us and Apple have been going on for some time, but no agreement has been reached yet," China Unicom spokesman Yi Difei told The Associated Press. "There are all kinds of possibilities. There is no particular timetable for the talks."
Reports that China Unicom had purchased five million WCDMA model iPhones, without WiFi were originally reported by China Business News who quoted Yu Zaonan, general manager of the customer development department of China Unicom in Guangzhou.
