Chief executive office of Verizon said Tuesday that the U.S. carrier wants to have the iPhone on its network and went as far as to cite a report which stated Apple was creating a CDMA-capable device.
Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg spoke in front of the Council of Foreign Relations and while he did not say that the iPhone was coming to Verizon or whether talks were even in progress he did say that he has spoken to Apple and wants the company to carry the iPhone.
Seidenberg also cited a Wall Street Journal report that said Apple was working on a CDMA iPhone capable of working on the Verizon network.
