On Monday World of Apple reported that an online invitation was inviting attendees of this years NAB exhibition to join Apple "for an update on their latest hardware and software products."
9 to 5 Mac who also spotted the invite has received contact from IMT's VP of Operations which appears to attempt to distance this event from any involvement with Apple.
The invite which appeared on the EventBrite website was removed sometime on Tuesday. It is unknown why the invite specifically mentioned Apple and its products but reports from NAB 2010 suggest that Apple doesn't have any presence, a move reminiscent of the last couple of years.
