AT&T Puts Block on Employee Holiday in June

As with previous years it is being reported that AT&T the official carrier of the iPhone in the U.S. has put a block on any vacation time during the month of June, presumably to prepare for the launch of a new iPhone.

The report from Boy Genius Report claims that multiple sources inside AT&T have confirmed the information and that in the past it has been a reliable indicator of an iPhone launch.

Apple has launched a new iPhone within AT&T's vacation block two years in a row and is expected to do the same this year. The announcement of a new iPhone typically happens during the keynote of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) an event that Apple is yet to announce this year. Apple in the past has announced the dates for WWDC in March with the event in June.

The next generation iPhone is rumoured to be announced on June 22 and be dubbed iPhone HD. The iPhone is expected to pack an A4-family CPU, a 960×640 “double-resolution” display and front facing camera.
