After the commotion and legal troubles that followed the revealing of the next-generation iPhone dubbed "iPhone HD" to the public last month by Gizmodo, it comes as a great surprise that a Vietnam based site has posted shots of a similar "prototype".
Tinhte provides photos as well as a hands-on video of the device which very closely resembles last months iPhone HD prototype, the only major difference so far is that the two screws on the bottom of the unit are no longer visible.
The unit which is 16GB and has the typical markings of a prototype unit is not running a bootable operating system but something that resembles a test firmware with a routine called "Bonfire" running. This routine reportedly tests screen burn-in.
The Vietnamese site also opened up and revealed the innards of the iPhone distinctly showing what looks like an Apple A4 processor, the same processor that powers the iPad.
The iPhone also features the same features we've come to know, a front facing camera, a rear camera flash, a removable battery and a micro-SIM slot.
