- 5,200 WWDC attendees from 57 countries, sold out in 8 days.
- Sold 2m iPads. 8,500 apps in store, downloaded 35 million times.
- iBooks iPad app updated to include highlights, notes and bookmarks. You can also import PDFs right into iBooks.
- Jobs covering the top three reasons why Apps are refused from the App Store: app doesn't function as advertised, uses private APIs or the app crashes.
- Netflix CEO on stage to introduce Netflix iPhone app, following release of iPad app two months ago.
- Zynga releasing app for the iPhone which will include Farmville.
- Guitar Hero available also in App Store for $2.99.
- Steve back on stage, announces 5 billion App store downloads and that Apple had paid $1 billion to developers.
- U.S. market share stats from Nielsen - RIM is #1 with 35%. iPhone is #2 with 28%, WinMo #3 with 19%, Android 9%.
- US mobile browser usage - iPhone 58.2%, Android 22.7%, RIM 12.7%.
- Steve Jobs announces iPhone 4 with the design we've all seen before. Jobs will demo 8 new features of the new iPhone.

- “We have a front-facing camera, microSIM, camera + LED flash, headset, and a second mic for noise cancellation."
- Visible seams on case actually antennas for reception.
- New "retina" display has 326 pixels per inch. 4x previous iPhone display resolution.
- iPhone 4 display: IPS, 960 x 640, 800:1 contrast. 4x better than iPhone 3GS.
- iPhone 4 has the A4 system-on-chip. Same as that in the iPad.
- iPhone 4 battery life: 7 hours 3G talk, 6 hours 3G browsing, 10 hours WiFi browsing, 10 hours video, 10 hours music, 300 hours standby.
- Three-axis gyroscope, 6 axis motion sensing.
- Quad-band HSDPA/HSUPA. Dual-mic noise suppression, 802.11n WiFi. Up to 32GB storage.
- iPhone 4 has 5 megapixel camera, "backside illuminated sensor", LED flash.
- iPhone 4 records HD video.
- HD video is recorded at 720p 30fps.
- iMovie to be made available for iPhone, edits HD video, adds transitions and titles.
- iMovie for iPhone will be $4.99.
- iPhone OS 4.0 now renamed iOS 4
- Demo'ing features of iOS 4.
- iBooks available for iPhone, sync books across all iOS devices.
- Eighth and last iPhone 4 feature is iAds. Apple has been selling ads for eight weeks.
- “Nissan, Citi, Unilever, AT&T, Chanel, GE, Liberty Mutual, State Farm, Geico, Sears, JCPenny, Target, Best Buy, DirecTV, TBS network, and Disney" signed up for iAds.
- iAd being turned on for all iOS devices July 1.
