Walmart has confirmed that it will begin selling the iPad through hundreds of its retail stores in the U.S. from this coming Friday.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal Walmart will also sell the iPad through Walmart.com but will only be available for in-store pickup, not home delivery.
Walmart has told the Wall Street Journal that it hopes to have the iPad in 2,300 stores by mid-November.
Walmart is relatively late to the game of selling iPads. Target began stocking the iPad in earlier this month and Best Buy has been selling units since the iPads launch in April.
