Today a video showing in great detail parts that look destined for an iPhone has surfaced. At this stage it is complete speculation whether the purported parts are for the iPhone 5, the Verizon iPhone or are an elaborate copy cat phone but they show some interesting tweaks if they are indeed heading for an Apple product.
The five minute video made by Global Direct Parts shows changes to the external antenna structure of the iPhone and several changes to the internal parts. The video only focusses on the antenna and internal parts but teases that next week a second video will cover the LCD display and motherboard.
The makers of the video Global Direct Parts speculate themselves about the destination for the parts. A CDMA based Verizon iPhone doesn't require a SIM-card slot which is present in the video but could still operate in a global market. Alternatively the parts could represent a revised iPhone 4 or the next generation iPhone—dubbed iPhone 5.
Adding some credence to the revealing of the parts is another iPhone repair service Smartphone Medic who claims to have also got photos of the parts from a "very reliable source".
