Ahead of Apple's Mac App Store release The Loop has revealed that the store will go live at 12 PM Eastern time (5 PM London, 9 AM Pacific).
The Loop has historically had excellent sources within Apple.
It is likely that the opening of the Mac App Store will be accompanied with the release of Mac OS X 10.6.6 which went into developer testing at the start of November.
